1. Study

Thoughts sharing with Blue Lodge

The Electronic Library has been posted on the Grand Lodge website, we encourage all brothers to visit.
I hope that the WM, PWM, and senior brothers may help to arrange and promote Masonic Education at your stated meeting and lead brothers to explore the principles and tenets of Masonic philosophy so that the brethren may gain more real benefits.

2. Seasonal Gathering

Directors and Supervisors Meeting are not meetings required by national laws only; it is a Seasonal Gathering for our Grand Lodge. It is a Masonic Custom which still works in the UGLE. We hope that the Three Lesser Lights and Past Masters of Blue Lodges may get together to discuss how service can bring more benefits to the brethren. This is the same as the Stated Meeting of the Blue Lodge. It is more a summons than a notice to the Three Lesser Lights of each Lodge. There’s no way for the Grand Lodge to learn what Blue Lodges’ needs or difficulties they are facing, neither can advice or assistance be provided if the Three Lesser Lights do not participate in our seasonal meeting. So, please attend the Meeting.

3. Chat Rooms

A chat room is a very convenient tool for communication. In Masonic Rooms, we contact brothers in real-time communication with no lags or delays, helping to keep remote teams engaged, feeling a part of the team, and improving team collaboration and communication. We pass on Masonic activities information and share the Masonic philosophy. A chat room should not discuss religion and politics and should not be used as a tool to attack and ridicule brothers. Poor online communication etiquette can result in online bullying. As a Mason brother, please show respect to each other, no cursing or scolding. Do not use defamatory, vile, indecent, profane, abusive, jibe, or threatening language to a Mason, or his wife, child, or widow if you think or you are a Mason brother.

4. Meaning of Masonic Title and Position

When we grant a title or office position of Freemason, we are proud to have the opportunity to serve brothers, not to win a competition. It is gratitude for the opportunity to receive training, not a feeling of superiority. Those titles and office positions are but a mark of our Masonic journey, not a goal to pursue for personal achievement. Every Mason should know: Titles don’t make leaders. The work does. Freemasonry teaches you to lead—not by telling others what to do, but by becoming an example. We may learn together with what 1 Peter is saying: “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”

5. Travel to Visit Other Lodges

Step One: Report to Blue Lodge Secretary for your destination, Lodge plan to visit, Jurisdiction, purpose, timing, etc.
Step Two: Secretary of Blue Lodge reports to the Grand Secretary.
Step Three: Grand Secretary contacts the other Grand Lodge to grant approval for the visit.
Step Four: Prepare your Masonic Documentation.
Step Five: Dress up correctly.
Step Six: Arrive early.

6. Healthy

For ourselves and our families, we should all have a medical examination to monitor our health regularly, take occasional vacations, not work too hard, and not overdrink.
