The Letter from Madame Chiang
In 1947, Madame Chiang Kai-shek, Soong Mei-ling, wrote a letter to the Eastern Star, expressing her gratitude for the invitation extended to her to attend the triennial conference in 1945 and for the certificate of appreciation presented to Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek and Madame Soong Mei-ling.
1947年，蔣夫人(宋美齡女士)致函東方之星,感謝對方於1945年邀請宋美齡女士至三年一度的大會, 並致贈感謝狀給聯軍統帥蔣介石先生及宋美齡女士.
因蔣夫人當時在美國養病無法前往,故書寫此信表達謝意並感謝東方之星於中國對日抗戰期間，捐贈物品救助中國的兒童
As Madame Chiang was in the United States for medical treatment at the time and unable to attend, she wrote this letter to convey her thanks.
She also expressed appreciation for the support the Oriental Star provided during China’s war of resistance against Japan, particularly for the donations made to assist Chinese children.
