Fraternal Visit

Most Worshipful Garrett S. Chan, Grand Master of California, Visits the Grand Lodge of China During His Private Visit to Taiwan

Following his attendance at the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Japan, Most Worshipful Brother Garrett S. Chan, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of California, arranged a private visit to Taiwan and paid a fraternal call upon the Grand Lodge of China.
It is understood that while former Grand Masters of California have visited Taiwan in the past, Most Worshipful Brother Garrett S. Chan is the first sitting Grand Master of California to make such a visit during his term of office, rendering this occasion particularly meaningful.

During his stay in Taipei, MW Bro. Chan and his lady, Mrs. Jo May Chan, were most cordially received by Most Worshipful Grand Master Tommy Huang, accompanied by several Past Grand Masters, senior Brethren, and Grand Officers. The gathering was marked by genuine warmth and fellowship, offering a valuable occasion to renew fraternal bonds, exchange goodwill, and further strengthen the longstanding ties between the two Grand Lodges.

Although the visit was of a private nature, it reflected the natural continuity of international Masonic fellowship and mutual respect, and has laid a solid foundation for deeper interaction and cooperation between the two Grand Lodges in the years to come.
